Our BA (Hons) Performing Arts degree is industry-led, focusing on you becoming an ‘all-round’ performer/artist in the performing arts industry. You'll study and train in purpose-built, high specification studios at the Queen’s Specialist Building, Farnworth and Shockout Arts' Manchester Studios.
The BA (Hons) degree in Performing Arts offers a combination of teaching expertise, facilities, resources and industry contacts. Throughout your training, you'll explore the core techniques of acting, musical theatre and dance, whilst developing a wide range of knowledge in film and TV acting, devising, developing a production, audition and casting techniques. Additionally, you'll have regular performance opportunities throughout the programme to help develop a diverse range of technical performance skills. Staff include a range of industry experts, performers and lecturers, ensuring this course offers a unique blend of teaching expertise, industry knowledge and professional experience.
We offer intensive practical training in dance, singing, musical theatre, as well as live and film and TV acting techniques. Alongside this, you'll benefit from regular performance opportunities that help you develop and hone a diverse range of performance and production skills.
We focus on training all-round performers and artists in both the emerging contemporary and traditional musical theatre and film and TV practices. We aim for you to graduate with the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to excel in the performing arts and across the full spectrum of performance arenas offered by this vibrant industry.

Standard Qualification Requirements
Your Level 3 subjects must include performing arts (dance/acting/singing); for instance, A-level Dance or BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts. Practical experience of performance is highly valued.
You should also have five GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent), including English.
