Designed alongside employers, the Foundation Degree Family Support and Wellbeing combines the right level of theory with practical experience to equip you for key roles within family support practice. Family support typically involves working with hard-to-reach families. Our lively and varied curriculum will prepare you to promote effective family development sensitively and meet families’ welfare, health and safety needs. The course is taught by industry specialist tutors, online and at our dedicated University Centre in Blackpool. We offer a safe and friendly learning environment, smaller classes and dedicated one-to-one support – particularly welcomed by those who haven’t studied in a while. Whether you’re starting or advancing your career, the programme is a springboard to excellent career openings and progression in the areas of family support within children’s centres, pastoral support/mentorship in schools and colleges, residential childcare, coaching and mediation. Since the programme is awarded by Lancaster University, you will graduate with a UK top 10 university qualification.
