Studying English at BGU provides an exciting and wide-ranging engagement with the power of human creativity and the rich heritage of literary expression. You will study great works of literature from Sophocles to Ali Smith, Bernardine Evaristo, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, directing your own path of learning through module options such as creative writing and crime fiction, American and World Literature, Restoration drama and trauma narrative, Victorian, Romantic, and contemporary literature. Entry Requirements for Advanced Entry (Year 2 and Beyond)

If you’ve recently completed or studied modules as part of a previous qualification, you may be eligible to apply for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). Entry to all years except Year 1 will require APL. Once you have submitted an application for the programme, you will need to complete the relevant paperwork for APL as well. You will typically require a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points (from a maximum of four advanced level qualifications) . We will consider equivalent subject-related experience and value a strong motivation to study Psychology. However we are able to consider a range of qualifications such as: •A / AS levels •BTEC •Access Courses •International Baccalaureate (IB) •Cambridge Pre-U •Extended Project You will also need GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
