The Mathematics and Physics degree programmes combine the strong teaching traditions and research expertise of the Department of Physics with those of the Department of Mathematics. The degree programme is ideally suited for those seeking a broad training in mathematical physics, possibly leading to a research career in that area, who prefer an even greater concentration on fundamental mathematics than we offer in our Theoretical Physics programme.
