Course Summary

Our Business Degrees with Foundation Year ensure you have the core knowledge and skills to start your academic journey. You'll be well-equipped for your studies and have a strong knowledge-base from which to build and excel in your chosen course. All undergraduate degrees within the York Business School come with the opportunity to study a foundation year. Each foundation year is an integrated part of the degree programme and extends the 3 years of the traditional degree to 4 years. The foundation year will suit those students who do not meet the standard entry criteria for the 3 year programme, but who wish to have the benefit of a University experience rather than study at College. The programmes will suit mature learners returning to education as well as students completing level 3 (A level / BTEC etc) qualifications. In particular it may also suit students who lack confidence in their preparedness for University study. As this is a University Course full Student Loans are available in the same way as they are for any of our 3 year degree programmes. It is also possible for students to undertake a year in industry, although this will increase the degree length to five years.
