The team includes lecturers and professional practitioners with industry experience with some qualified up to masters degree level. Upon completion of the HNC you can leave with this standalone qualification, or apply to 'top-up' your course to a HND with a further year of study. For those who wish to study the full HND over two years, there is also the option to undertake a Higher National Diploma (HND) - this is equivalent to two years of a degree course. If you are interested in studying part-time, please contact Yeovil College University Centre by calling 01935 845454 or emailing university.centre@yeovil.ac.uk. **Work Experience and Placement** Previous students have completed work experience with local primary and secondary schools, sports development organisation, Somerset FA and professional football clubs. Work experience is a essential component of the course and students are advised to consider obtaining work placements prior to commencement of study. **After the course** On successful completion of the course you will gain a Pearson Higher National Certificate in Sport (Community Sport & Physical Activity). Graduates have gone to university to complete their top-up degree, completed master's degrees, PGCE's, as well as securing jobs in coaching and teaching.
