Our BA Modern Languages degree is flexible and you can choose to study one, two or three languages.** **One language** You can focus on **French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish** if you have studied that language at A Level. **Up to three languages** Languages offered from beginner level include **French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Chinese and Japanese**. You can start two languages from scratch as long as one of these is French or Spanish. **Dedicated minor options** English as a Modern Foreign Language or Translation Studies can be taken alongside one or two languages. One of the most exciting elements of this degree in Modern Languages is the opportunity to spend your third year abroad.
