Course Summary

Working as an environmental health practitioner in either the public or private sector requires a broad skillset in order to advise, consult, manage, inspect and enforce in a range of areas relating to public health and the environment; ensuring people can live and work in safe and healthy settings. Starting salaries for environmental health practitioners (EHPs) typically start at £25,000 per year and senior EHPs and managers can expect to earn over £38,000 after working in the sector for 10 to 15 years. This course provides professional progression for students who have completed a Foundation Degree accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and want to earn a full Honours Degree at Level 6. As well as taking another crucial step towards becoming a fully-qualified EHP, students who complete this course will also possess the enhanced planning, research and analytical skills required for postgraduate study in a range of subjects.
