Course Summary

In your first year of Applied Business Management, you will learn about the wider business organisation, business processes and develop the personal skills essential for effective management. In the following years, you will focus on your area of choice, Finance, Compliance & Risk, where you will have the opportunity to explore, learn and understand everything that you need to know to become a credible member of a team that manages these areas. During the programme, you will learn about the key related policies and processes, documents and techniques, the financial calendar as well as understand relevant legislation. You will also learn about the compliance and audit process and understand the importance of effectively managing documentation to ensure successful audits. You will learn about the importance of financial and business risk management and how to develop a risk register. Over your years of study, you will have many opportunities to apply your knowledge and skills in a range of business-related situations through simulation, work-related projects and placements.
