The BSc (Hons) Occupational Safety & Health course at UWS will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to manage the health and safety of your organisation.
This degree will give you a competitive edge as an occupational safety and health professional in a range of industry sectors.
Ensuring health and safety in the workplace has evolved from the traditional role of accident prevention and protection of individual employees, to now include safety management systems, risk assessment, risk reduction and risk control techniques.
Modern approaches to occupational safety and health are as much, if not more, about fostering a safe and healthy work culture amongst the workforce as about setting out prescriptive measures.
Professional Approval and Accreditation
You will be eligible to apply for a graduate membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Grad IOSH). You can then complete further learning to become a Chartered Member of IOSH.
