Develop expertise across criminal justice theory, research and policy on this 4-year Honours programme – with the possibility of specialising in Policing.
You will explore the concepts, structures, organisations and processes involved with the prevention, investigation and prosecution of crime. You will study the workings of the criminal law and criminal court system, and examine the treatment of offenders within society.
In Years 3 and 4 you may be able to specialise in Policing, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
This degree, the only one of its kind in Scotland, will prepare you for employment in the police and prison services, criminal courts and the fiscal, third sector criminal justice services and in roles such as general administration and management.
Graduates will also find opportunities in restorative justice and mediation, community safety and working with offenders, victims and witnesses.
