This 2 year course is specifically designed for people wishing to work at an operational or strategic level in the travel and tourism sector, or for people already in work who wish to enhance their operational experience with the theory underpinning strategic decision making.
This course gives you a thorough understanding of the structure, nature and operating characteristics of the international tourism industry, using a combination of academic learning and practical, industry-focused study. Studying as part of an international cohort of students you will be able to choose a range of optional modules to allow you to tailor the course to suit your specialist interests or enhance your knowledge of sectors you are familiar with.
The emphasis of the course is on the development of a range of operational and management skills including those linked to sales and marketing, the law, finance and managing people. These will be applied to industrial practice in the international travel and tourism environment.
