There are enormous advantages in combining knowledge of modern business with the expressive power of a foreign language. The International Business with Language BSc will help you to develop an understanding of business on a national and global scale, preparing you for a rewarding career in international business. You will study at one of the handful of business schools in the UK that holds the prestigious ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). BTEC Diploma in Business accepted when combined with an A level and a relevant language qualification - contact us for further guidance. BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Business accepted when combined with 2 A Levels and a relevant language qualification - contact us for further guidance.

Accepted in place of a non-required A level with the equivalent grade.

Accepted in place of A levels with the following grade equivalencies: D2 = A*; D3 = A; M2 = B. Combinations of A levels and Principle subjects are accepted. NB required subjects must be offered (see A level Section)

For higher level language options you will need a B at A2 level in your chosen language. If you have not studied this language previously, you will need to prove some language competence (usually by having at least an AS level in another foreign language, but a GCSE grade B may also be considered for some language options). Applicants who choose the French or Spanish option, however, must have a B in the language at A level. This is because these languages are not available at beginners level. Note: Please remember to enter your choice of language under ‘further details’ in the choices section of the UCAS application form. If you are considering taking an ab initio language but are unsure, please let us know.
