This unique and exciting course combines comprehensive actor training with the development of dramaturgical skills in directing, writing and devising performance. It should set you on the path towards becoming a professional ‘theatre-maker’.
You will explore and experiment with a range of theory and practice, reinterpreting existing repertoire and creating original works. Working effectively as an ensemble in a respectful and supportive environment forms a key part of the training. This means selection for this course is via workshop and interview rather than conventional audition process alone.
As part of an ensemble of versatile creative practitioners, you will produce a number of works such as plays, musical theatre, dance, physical theatre, performance art and scenography.
Creative collaboration and networking are integral to the course, affording you opportunities to work with fellow students, academia and industry professionals.
