**This course is for anyone wishing to work in computing, networking information technology or business information systems that do not necessarily have the academic qualifications for the full BSc (Hons) course. Like all higher level computing courses at the college the Foundation Degree is module based and covers the basic areas of computing and Information Technology.**
This foundation degree has two main aims; the first is to provide you with a good understanding of the theory, principles and technologies of computer science.
The second is to equip you with the skills to apply this knowledge through a combination of work-based learning practical activities.
The field of computer science offers a wealth of opportunity across a range of specialist fields. The variety of course options offered allows you to fine tune your degree, focusing on areas of interest or to meet the requirements of a favoured career.
