Course Summary

The course is an excellent opportunity to expand a career in creative media production. it covers a variety of visual communications, as you’ll further develop skills in film and TV production and theory. You’ll also investigate filmic texts, using the appropriate terminology and the language in relation to film and media. All projects are simulated with the intention of replicating industry standards of practice. The Higher National in the course also provides a range of progression opportunities for students, including routes into employment and topping up their study to a full degree. Course Details – Assessment Method

Assessment is continuous and is based on assignments, group projects, lectures, workshops and summative and formative tasks. Knowledge and understanding of a subject is often developed Through lectures and workshops as well through real life work experiences. Intellectual skills such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and problem solving may be demonstrated and applied through active learning via formative tasks and summative assignments and projects. Practical skills assessment involves practical demonstration through processes and final outcomes & projects. Transferable skills are readily convertible to employment and other contexts, such as in a problem solving, working effectively as part of team or meeting the needs of client etc. These often address wider skills such as written communication (developed and assessed through essays or reports and evaluations; oral skills through presentations in seminars). Both written and verbal feedback is given.

GCSE Maths – grade C/4 GCSE English Language– grade C/4 Functional skill Level 2 Maths and English No international applications. Also required: Applications to all FT UG must be made through UCAS.
