This course is highly practical and provides a strong grounding in computing fundamentals. It will give you a comprehensive understanding of object oriented programming in Java, event driven programming in C#, computer systems and e-commerce. The units of study reflect the current employment opportunities within the industry and the skills in-demand by employers. A nationally recognised computing qualification, the HNC is ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in the computing industry or who wish to progress onto a level 5 programme such as a HND. The course also aims to develop essential and transferrable employment skills such as communication and interpersonal skills, leadership and the dynamics of working with others in teams.
