The programme philosophy is to produce innovative designers that can take conceptual ideas and turn them into products and furniture for today, that not only looks good but work well. You will be encouraged to explore new ways to solve problems, utilising traditional methods and state-of-the-art digital tools and prototyping technologies to deliver real world solutions for today’s ever demanding consumer society. Throughout your studies, you will continually learn and grow your skills and knowledge, resulting in becoming a highly employable graduate well prepared for work within the creative industries. Assessment is carried out through coursework, both written and practical. There are no exams on this course. You are formatively assessed throughout a module, with summative assessment taking place at the end of a module. A variety of teaching and learning methods are used throughout the course.
