Course Summary

This course offers the opportunity to understand the legal structure governing all aspects of our lives today whilst gaining key business knowledge and skills that provide a valuable foundation for future careers. This programme combines the study of Business and Law, to include topics such as Business, Management, and Marketing and includes the foundations of legal knowledge such as Contract, Public, Tort, Property, European and Criminal Law. A background in these areas could open doors to a varied and interesting range of careers. The course may be suitable for individuals aiming for careers in management within the legal sector, where a thorough background in both law and business is highly valued or a role in business and management where a strong understanding of legal obligations and frameworks within which to work are essential.

Course Details - Modules

Year 1- Level 4; Legal Process, Public Law, Criminal Law, APPD, Accounting fundamentals Global Business Environment. Year 2- Level 5; Contract Law, Tort Law, EU Law, Entrepreneurship, Managing People, Management Accounting. Year 3- Level 6; Property Law, Equity and Trusts, Strategic Management and Sustainability, Applied Legal Practice, Choose either ; Applied Leadership and Management Theory and Practice, International Financial Management OR Dissertation.

Course Details – Assessment Method

The course will be assessed by a mixture of written coursework and exams. Each module is worth 20 credits which would equal two assessments per module with the equivalent of a 2000 word assignment or an exam per 10 credits.
