Course Summary

Study Textile Art, Design and Fashion at Ulster University in the United Kingdom. BA Hons Textile Art, Design and Fashion offers practice-based study in Textiles and Fashion within the areas of embroidery, fashion, knit, print and weave supported by professional practice and research and writing. Our approach to textiles and fashion explores both tradition and innovation in well-equipped studios and workshops. A broad based first year develops an understanding of fundamental skills before students specialise in second year in preparation for the development of a professional portifolio in final year. Students can choose to approach the five disciplines as artists or designers and are supported to achieve career goals in professional practice modules where they have numerous opportunities for work-based learning. The course offers an optional placement year between second and third year for study abroad or an industrial experience.
