This course goes beyond the limits of traditional economics and business related courses by combining a thorough understanding in economic theory with business knowledge and applications. You will be introduced to a set of economic concepts, frameworks and techniques that provide a basis for understanding the economics that govern decision making and behaviour within public, private and third sector organisations. You will develop a detailed understanding of the global economy and Northern Ireland’s place within it. The course is focused on practical and applied skills in economics and business that are in high demand by the current marketplace. The real-world focus of the course will prepare you for a career transition into the business world or to postgraduate business courses.

The Scottish Advanced Highers requirement for this course is CDD to include minimum grade C in Advanced Mathematics or grades CCD.
