Course Summary

**Note: Due to the course delivery location and visa restrictions, this course is NOT available to international students requiring a Tier 4 visa.** **Location**: This is an award of Teesside University delivered in partnership with Stockton Riverside College (campus code 3, call 01642 865400 for more information on this course). **Course overview**: You develop skills in jazz, ballet, acting, acting through song, acting for camera and contextual studies. You perform in local theatres including the Arc in Stockton, Billingham Forum and the newly renovated Middlesbrough Town Hall. You become part of the SRCMTEnsemble with two performances across the course of the year ending with a spectacular musical as part of the HEFest. You develop performance skills alongside growing your creative practice and taking on a production role within the SRCMTEnsemble. The programme aims to take work to the NSDF (National Student Drama Festival) as well as undertaking trips to local, national and international theatres. London and New York trips are planned for every other year. There are regular industry workshops as well as practical and academic seminars. **After the course**: Graduates can expect to work in the arts and entertainment industries, education and the media. There are also potential progression routes to drama school or onto further study on our bespoke BA (Hons) Performing Arts (Top-up) degree.

Standard Qualification Requirements

Relevant industry-level experience may be considered in lieu of tariff points.

You are expected to audition for the programme at the Stockton Riverside College campus and prepare a song, a monologue and be prepared to take part in a movement/dance class. Auditions take place in December, January, March and April. The audition is a full day where you learn about the programme, meet current students and take part in workshops.
