Course Summary

**Available for September or January intakes.** **Indicate point of entry as Year 3 when applying for this top-up degree.** **Summary**: This top-up degree allows you to progress when you have completed a foundation degree or HND in a relevant subject area. Contemporary views of international business management are contested and understanding them requires you to question the realities and rhetoric of globalisation, the activities and strategies of business organisation and the differences between various regional, national and global business systems. **Course overview**: This course brings together contemporary issues pertinent to the areas of leadership and management, entrepreneurship, finance, operations and technology that support the study of international business management. You are encouraged to develop a critical understanding of contemporary organisations and the increasingly global environment in which they operate. The course builds on the knowledge you have already gained in your previous studies. You explore more advanced topics within the areas of business and management. There is a greater emphasis on critical thinking and your ability to plan and manage your own learning as an individual and as part of a group. **After the course**: Graduates from this programme are well placed to find employment in a wide range of business, management and administrative jobs, both in the UK and overseas. We provide an environment that allows you to build on and further develop the extra practical employability characteristics that will make you more interesting to employers in the job market once you graduate. Our staff utilise their extensive business connections to provide many and varied opportunities to engage with potential employers through fairs, guest lecture sessions, live projects and site visits. In addition we offer a series of workshops and events that ensure all students are equipped with both degree level subject knowledge and the practical skills that employers are looking for in new graduate recruits. Our award winning careers service works with regional and national employers to advertise graduate positions, in addition to providing post-graduation support for all Teesside University alumni.
