Our single honours programme in Medieval Studies offers you an opportunity to engage with the Middles Ages through covering history, literature and languages. Through group work, debate, written exercises and essays, and in-class discussion you will come to understand the key themes and debates in medieval history and literature, and will be offered the opportunity to practice your practical language skills.
Our programme draws from a variety of teaching and assessment methods to offer you the opportunity to engage with the Middle Ages dynamically, with access to a range of subject specialisms in History, Medieval History, English Literature, Classics and Ancient History, and Ancient Languages.
Based on our stunning Singleton Park campus, in parkland overlooking Swansea Bay on the edge of the Gower Peninsula, our course places flexibility and optionality at its core, supporting you to gain the skills required for both academic and non-academic graduate employment in areas. Our focus is to develop you as a communicator, researcher, leader and team-player.
