Course Summary
Our practice-based, innovative Sport Exercise and Nutrition course, is approved by the Sport & Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) to ensure that the knowledge and competencies taught are aligned with professional standards. This course will provide you with the underpinning scientific knowledge of nutrition and physiology for sports performance, exercise and health so that you graduate able to work with sports teams, athletes and individuals to enhance their performance by providing nutritional expertise.
You will undertake physiological and nutritional assessment of sports performers, as well as first-time practitioners, in our state-of-the-art laboratories. However, it is important to know that the course isn’t just to analyse leading sportsmen; if you’re interested in how nutrition and exercise can impact upon people with completely different physiques and states of health, then this course is the perfect option for you.
This course is based at our recently extended £71 million City South Campus in Edgbaston, Birmingham, complete with a range of cutting-edge facilities including a fitness suite, nutrition kitchen, physiology lab and the latest industry-standard nutrition systems so that you leave ready to enter the workplace.
