This degree will cover a range of subject areas, including human anatomy, physiology, cell biology, neuroscience, pharmacology and the applied and clinical relevance of this knowledge. Other subjects relevant to careers in lab research, medicine and commercial enterprise in the life sciences will also be covered. The focus will be on providing you the chance to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of how the human body works, what happens when it goes wrong, and how we currently treat disorders and the potential for novel therapeutics. Applied Medical Sciences is ideally suited for future scientists, biotechnology entrepreneurs and those who desire a more comprehensive understanding of medical science prior to graduate entry into more clinically focused studies such as medicine.
