Course Summary
**About the course**
Equip yourself for the marketing challenges of the future on this CIM-accredited course. Whether you’re interested in launching your own company or want to innovate at the heart of a global organisation, you’ll study a combination of marketing and management theory and practice.
On the Marketing and Management BSc you critically evaluate organisational and consumer behaviour, while learning the importance of marketing strategy, brand development and new product management. In the first year you also develop a valuable understanding of economics, accounting and business law. In the subsequent years your studies will include digital marketing, consumer behaviour, international marketing and marketing analytics and metrics.
This course fully prepares you for the workplace while offering the flexibility to tailor your degree to your career path. Options include services marketing, neuro-marketing, leadership, entrepreneurship, the circular economy, project management and public management. You can also spend time enriching your experience by exploring different disciplines from across the university, and have the opportunity to apply for a year working in industry where you can put your knowledge into practice.
**Accreditation**
This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). On graduation, CIM accreditation will give you a head start in professional marketing, with exemptions on both the CIM Certificate and Diploma.

International applicants
Standard Qualification Requirements
This score should be from the full IB Diploma.
You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 4 (or grade C).
You should also have a broad range of GCSEs 9-4 (A*-C), including good grades in relevant subjects.
You will need Scottish National 5 in Mathematics at grade C.
If you are taking Advanced Highers we would normally expect you to have at least BBB.
Pass Diploma with at least 39 level 3 credits at Merit or above including 21-24 credits at Distinction.
The Access to HE Diploma would preferably be in Business Studies or include a Business pathway.
You must have GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade 4 (or grade C).
We take the EPQ into account when considering your application and it can be useful in the summer when your results are released if you have narrowly missed the conditions of your offer. We do not routinely include the EPQ in the conditions of your offer but we sometimes offer alternative conditions that include the EPQ.
