Our BEng and MEng Electronic Engineering with Computer Systems courses combine hardware electronics, software, computer programming and architectures, and machine learning, preparing you for an exciting career in the information technology and computing industries. You’ll also study firmware applications such as the Internet of Things.
Through project work, you’ll get the chance to work with academics from our research centres and use the latest computer software and facilities.
**What you will study**
This course will train you to apply fundamental concepts and design software and applications for the connected world of the future.
You’ll learn to apply theory to real engineering problems and technologies, combining specialist skills with scientific research methods.
You’ll also study advanced topics such as C++ and object-oriented design, digital signal processing and artificial intelligence.
You can apply to study for either a BEng or MEng (Master of Engineering). The MEng builds on the BEng course with a masters year and is a direct route to a masters qualification.
