By enrolling on this programme, you’ll have the opportunity to study both the latest academic research and industry trends in this dynamic field. The course offers a variety of exciting modules such as classical business analytics, big data analytics methods and tools applied in the business world in addition to cutting-edge modules such as AI for business. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in real-life cases through guest speakers from top organisations, visits and internship possibilities, and a final year business challenge, which will allow you to explore more advanced business analytics topics of your choice. The Business Analytics Challenge Project 1 and 2 will be part of your final year of study. Both modules are part of a substantial piece of academic research based on a real-life problem. This will give you the opportunity to meet organisations trying to solve a realistic business challenge or it could be a problem of your own choice. You’ll be able to investigate possible solutions in Semester 1 and implement them in Semester 2. The challenge could be an extension of your placement work in conjunction with your placement employer.
