Course Summary

**Why choose this course** At Surrey Business School we inspire positive change in business and society, individuals and organisations, locally and globally by delivering impactful research and courses which promote a global and digital mindset for the future of business. Our BSc (Hons) Business and Retail Management course was one of the first of its kind when it was introduced in 1989, and it remains at the forefront of the sector. Equipping you with a combination of specific retail industry knowledge and essential business management skills, our academically rigorous and practically relevant courses provide you with a thorough education in the art and science of retailing. **What you will study** You’ll study core business and management topics as well as specialist modules that will develop your understanding of the working realities of retail management and operations. You’ll learn to apply and evaluate the techniques and frameworks of successful retailing, developing commercially viable solutions that you’ll present back to business leaders, while working on live business issues. We keep this course relevant and applicable to business practice today by offering study tours and guest lectures, as well as regular visits from graduates who are now employed in the retail industry. This will give you opportunities to engage and discuss the concepts you have learned with people working in industry, including how they apply them in making business decisions.
