The course offers a rigorous and satisfying appreciation of legal studies and is a stepping stone to the LLB (Hons) Law programme. It is suitable for those with an interest in law and is perfect for mature students with relevant work-based experience. The course offers two qualifications, an HND and a Certificate in Higher Education entitling you to progress to Level 5 of the LLB (Hons) Law at the University. The course is recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as providing exemptions from the academic stage of training. The ‘Work Placement’ module in Year 2 enables you to gain valuable work experience and useful contacts with legal professionals, as well as achieving academic credit.
