Course Details - Modules
The Foundation Year comprises of core modules that will allow students to build knowledge and understanding to prepare for study at the higher levels:
Digital Skills for Music and Sound
Introduction to Music and Sound
Investigating Music and Sound
Music and Sound in Context
The entire program of study across all years is built around a project-based learning environment at each level that is housed within our own music production facility, namely Phoenixx.
Each year, students will opt for a project framework, aligned to their chosen pathway specialism, and build their own learning unit program. This hyper-personalised study route allows for individual mentorship and guidance from the tutor teams ensuring each student has precisely what they need in terms of skill, knowledge and understanding at each year of study.
Students will engage with core learning units that are delivered as either technical instruction, theoretical knowledge or online models, all of which map to each specialism pathway. The remainder of the learning unit requirements at each level can then be tailored to each individual students’ needs and can be taken from a range of other subject and interdisciplinary options. All of which contribute to the students’ end of year project.
