Do you want to explore the creative process from pen to production? Whether it’s in front of the camera, in the theatre spotlight, or as the creative storyteller behind tomorrow’s masterpieces – we can help you get there with our BA (hons) Page, Stage and Screen course.
With Staffordshire University, you will study traditional, modern and future methods involved in the full cycle of creative and visual storytelling – from the written word to the dizzying heights of stage, television and film production.
Our BA (Hons) Page, Stage and Screen course combines the experimental art of drama and stage performance, with the skills of storytelling. You will explore and apply the concepts of drama, film, literature and creative writing disciplines, to give you a creative and drama-led skillset that will give you the employability edge you need to break into multiple creative and entertainment industries when you graduate.
Alongside experienced and industry-practiced academics, that include trained actors and published authors, you will develop your expertise in practical and theoretical work and emphasise your creative side through exploration, process, and critical understanding. Throughout your degree you will move fluidly through the creation, reception and consumption of modern-day medias, culminating in the development of an agile and marketable skillset.
What’s more, as a student of our award-winning institution, we guarantee you the opportunity of work experience or a placement during your studies, which could give you a critical insight into the theatre, creative, education and entertainment industries.
During your course you will be given the option to undertake a work placement, which we will aid you in negotiated. You can complete your placement locally, nationally or internationally in settings like educational establishments, media and film companies, publishing houses, television, audio and radio companies, music studios, labels, agencies, libraries, theatre and other arts and cultural organisations, or even within the university itself.
