Our Midwifery Practice programme has been carefully designed to ensure that you can register as a midwife upon successful completion – and that you have a strong commitment to providing safe, evidence-based and woman-centred midwifery care.
As a midwifery student at Staffordshire University, you’ll develop your skills on clinical placement and in a midwifery skills lab furnished with extensive midwifery simulation equipment, including state-of-the-art mannequins.
50% of your time will be spent on clinical placement. This will give you the broadest range of clinical experiences, develop your confidence, teach you how to integrate theory and practice – and provide evidenced-based care. Our placement partners include University Hospitals North Midlands and the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust.
