Innovate and develop creative solutions for digital marketing challenges. Digital marketing channels have revolutionised business operations. Our BA (Hons) Digital and Social Media Marketing will equip you with the skills and experience that employers demand of modern marketing professionals and you will graduate with experience in digital marketing analytics and strategy, search engine optimisation, social media marketing and digital content creation. At Staffordshire Business School we provide a streamlined teaching method, allowing you to focus on one module at a time. To allow true immersion in each stage of your learning, you will study one topic over a five-week period and receive your results before starting the next module. Our approach focuses on individual skills and will develop your expertise as an independent learner and problem solver, preparing you for a fast-paced, focused career in business. You will be taught via a combination of lectures, tutorials, industry visits and independent study. A typical 20 credit module will include a week of moderated online preparation, three weeks of class where you will attend campus (a combination of physically and virtually), usually for no more than two consecutive days per week for lectures, tutorials and other activities, and one week for revision and assessment. On completion of this course you could find yourself pursuing a career as a Digital Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, Content Manager, SEO Manager, Digital Analytics Manager or Customer Journey Specialist, or with the skills developed you could set up and run your own business. Course Details - Modules

Level 4: The Future of Work, Data and Decision Making, Global Challenges and Opportunities, Risk and Reward, Social Enterprise, The Balance of Power. Level 5: Compulsory - Digital Marketing Strategy, Data Analysis and Visualisation, Social Media Strategy and either Sustainable Business Development and Business Creativity and Innovation or Digital Content Creation or Digital Customer Experience. Level 6: Ethics in Marketing, Applied Consultancy Project (40 credits) and either Innovative Change Management or Corporate Reputation.

Course Details – Assessment Method

Assessment methods depend on the modules you will be studying. The primary methods of assessment are coursework and evaluative assignments, digital portfolio development, in-class tests, presentations (both individual and group) and examinations. Most modules include a Tutorial Assessment, which carries a weighting of around 10% and your attendance and participation in class will be reflected in the awarded mark.
