This course has been designed to cater for a varied range of students and enables them to investigate, and reflect on different, distinctive subjects within the award including designing embedded systems, robot creation and control, automotive aspects, design of animatronics, and ethics and emerging topics in the robot field. These subjects enable the student to study a distinctive degree to meet their own chosen career field. This course contains a highly-recommended sandwich option that comprises a year of industrial placement, which may be carried out overseas, and can include self-employment in a range of areas.
The award also has the benefit that it shares a number of core modules with our Computer Science suite of awards which means not only do you become a specialist in AI and Robotics, but also become expert in many topics in the wider computer science field.

Year 1 Core: Software Development and Application Modelling, Digital Technologies, Robotic Design, Robot Worlds.
Year 2 Core: Commercial Computing, Robotic Programming, 3D Modelling and Kinematics, Robot Ethics in an AI World.
Year 3 Core Final Year Project, Robotic Programming and Vision, Robotic Modelling and Drone Skin Design. Option: Graphical Windows Programming Using C++, 3D Game Modelling for Robotics.
