Course Summary

BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Promotion is for students who would love a career in the fashion industry but not as a clothing designer. You’ll be guided and supported by a staff team that brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from industry, and you will combine fashion, creative and business skills to develop your interests across a range of modules, including trends forecasting, buying, visual merchandising, PR, marketing and events management. You'll develop further employability skills with an industry placement in the second year and have opportunities for international exchanges and inspiration trips. This course teaches you the principles of a range of roles within the fashion industry. It will allow you to understand the process of the fashion industry from identifying the trends to buying the product, marketing and PR . All work is course-based, and you will work on live projects and industry-led briefs across the first two years, supported by brands including Superdry, Selfridges, George Asda. You will explore new skills in packages such as InDesign and Illustrator. The course will develop your business knowledge and language, and will prepare you for delivering presentations, writing reports, visual marketing material and range plans, and build confidence in using online resources, independent learning and research.
