Course Summary

Politics and international relations are increasingly important areas of research in today’s society and this foundation year pathway offers you the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of politics and gain a broad understanding of the subject before studying as an undergraduate. As well as the core Foundation Year modules, in the first semester the focus will be on political discourse and the relationship between politics and social action, while the second semester will examine in closer detail the role of politics in contemporary society. On successful completion of the Politics Foundation Year pathway you will progress on to the three year Politics and International Relations at undergraduate level.
