Physiotherapy is a continuously evolving profession, having historically achieved greater recognition every year in both NHS and private settings. Our facilities include an in-house Physiotherapy clinic, and we are proud to offer a supportive learning environment, where we treat each student as an individual.
Subject to validation (estimated summer 2020) the Programme will be accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This degree has been designed to ensure that you will have all required qualifications you’ll need to act as an autonomous practitioner upon graduation.
We will prepare you with the skills you need for professional career as a physiotherapist, enabling you to begin your practice at a competitive level.
The teaching team at St Mary’s, made up of active clinicians, will support you in developing the skills you’ll need to help your clients reach their potential, focusing on their wellbeing and improving their quality of life.
During the programme, all students have to successfully complete a minimum of 1000 hours of practice education. You will be allocated to a range of diverse and exciting placements, where you will gain a variety of experiences with a wide range of client groups, under the guidance of skilled clinicians.
Our students will experience clinical placements between cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, neurological, rehabilitation, paediatrics, aquatic therapy, intensive care, elderly care, sport therapy wards in NHS and private settings.
