Course Summary

This is a four year degree programme comprised of one foundation year plus a three year degree. Our undergraduate degrees with a foundation year are an alternative entry route into university for those without more traditional qualifications or grades, or are entering university after a notable period of time out of education. The programme offers support and guidance in developing the skills required for degree-level study. The foundation year will focus specifically on communication (oral and written), critical thinking, research, independent study, digital and employability skills. The modules are designed to embed the development of these skills within the broad areas of business, communications, humanities and social sciences. On successful completion of the foundation year, students will automatically progress on to the first year of our Liberal Arts three year degree programme Liberal Arts will enable you to shape the future of cultural, heritage and creative industries. The programme will help develop your creative work by exploring key Humanities concepts. You'll be able to complete work placements as part of the degree, allowing you to build a network of industry contacts. This will give you a support system that can advise you as you progress into your career. The degree will also equip you with skills that all employers look for. It'll teach you how to develop and communicate ideas, meaning you'll always know how to make your point. Lecturers on the degree are leading academics and industry specialists. They will help you to develop skills that all employers look for, preparing you for careers that demand a creative mind. You will also be immersed in creative culture during degree through a range of field trips. During the degree that are chances to visit institutions such as the Royal National Theatre, the Museum of London and the Imperial War Museum.
