If you're interested in becoming a barrister or solicitor, or pursuing a career in commerce or government, our Law LLB with Sports Business degree will give you the foundation you need to be successful. This programme is designed for those interested in solving, understanding and preventing crimes.
The LL.B (Hons) Law with Sports Business has been designed for students who wish to work in the sports industry. Sport executives need to have a detailed knowledge of the laws surrounding the sports industry, as well as an understanding of the commercial context of this sector. This pathway will enable the student to successfully navigate the many regulations and challenges faced by the sports executive, for example: compliance, doping or breach of contract that may involve UK and international Law.
All St. Mary’s LLB (Hons) degrees are Qualifying Law Degrees, and are recognised for professional purposes by the Law Society, the Bar Council of England and Wales, and the Law Society of Ireland for professional purposes.
The degree's focus on practical (as well as theoretical) teaching means you can develop the analytical and critical skills essential for formulating legal arguments. You'll also have the opportunity to study a range of specialist subjects that are relevant to your own aspirations.
With a wide range of option modules - including work-based learning placements - and a diverse variety of assessment methods, such as simulated negotiation exercises and delivering presentations, you will learn through experiencing the law, not just through exams.
