Course Summary

Study alongside your work: you will attend St Mary's University one day a week whilst continuing to work with children and young people for at least half of the week. The BA Early Years Education attracts teaching assistants and others working in the primary sectors who wish to extend their foundation degree to achieve an undergraduate degree. The route allows you to utilise your experiences of working with both children and experienced teachers. This is a one-year enhancement degree following the Early Years Education foundation programme. You will have access to our resources outside of normal teaching hours, including the Library and Learning Technology services. Part of the degree is the support given to you to expand your IT capability. This will be based on individual needs - as far as possible - using skills workshops within the library. Additionally, the learning support team help develop your academic writing.
