The HND Photography course will offer students the opportunity to study photography within a broad range of vocational and academic contexts created through the delivery of a range of units throughout the two stages of study. You will develop technical competence across a range of photographic techniques and skills, enabling you to apply these skills at an increasingly professional standard. You will be trained in image capture, as well as pre and post-production of images to industry standards. As part of the HND in Photography course, you will take part in lectures, workshops and practical assignments, as well as a range of e-learning and online activities. You will also benefit from a range of talks and seminars by industry professionals. During the summer break between years one and two, students will undertake a self-directed project in their individual chosen area of specialist practice providing an excellent opportunity to apply the skills learnt. Culminating in the production, management and group curated Exhibition of work in the October of 2nd year. To help you apply your skills professionally, you will also be encouraged, where possible, to undertake work placements during the holidays.
