Course Summary

The Aviation Academy’s success has developed through the CAA approved BSc(Hons) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course, preparing students for achieving the EASA Part-66 Basic licence at an accelerated rate. This course is very focused on the EASA requirements which, are understandably inflexible. This rigid curriculum provides specialist skills that are unique to the aircraft maintenance industry. This course, however, will provide broader skills that can be adapted to the entire aviation sector. This award gives all students the option of studying towards an accelerated licence, but for those who are not inclined to work directly on aircraft, or, who are not interested in achieving the licence at an accelerated pace, can study this alternative route providing the educational background required to work in other areas focusing on the management, planning and organisation of maintenance scheduling.
