MMedSci in Nursing Studies (Adult) leading to professional registration as an Adult Nurse. The School has been commissioned by the NHS to provide the above course as an innovative route to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as an Adult Nurse. The course will prepare students to work within the NHS and health and social care sectors as nurses. The course uses an innovative approach to learning alongside other health care professional groups and within health care settings to ensure that students develop the competence for effective practice, and the knowledge and confidence to progress their careers effectively following qualification. The content of our courses is reviewed annually to make sure it's up-to-date and relevant. Individual modules are occasionally updated or withdrawn. This is in response to discoveries through our world-leading research; funding changes; professional accreditation requirements; student or employer feedback; outcomes of reviews; and variations in staff or student numbers.In the event of any change we'll consult and inform students in good time and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.

You’ll need a 2:2 degree in a relevant area such as social sciences, human sciences, biomedical sciences, public services, and GCSE Mathematics, English and Science. You’ll also need to show that you have 650 hours of health care experience. All students will require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and health screening.
