Course Summary

This degree is intended for those who wish to specialise in statistics, whilst developing broader mathematical understanding. You'll learn statistical data analysis and computing skills, and have the opportunity to apply these in project work. The course includes statistics, probability, core mathematics, pure mathematics and applied mathematics, with increasing emphasis on statistics and probability as you progress. Your placement year is a great way to get experience of real-world mathematics and improve your CV. Students are often offered graduate jobs at the end. Employers range from the Department of Work and Pensions to Goldman Sachs.
