This four-year course includes an extended research project and covers all the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Staff in this department work closely with Boeing, Airbus UK, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and others. As part of the course, you will work on a project led by an academic and take part in the faculty’s Global Engineering Challenge, a team exercise designed to make you a better engineer.
Whether you choose to focus on avionics or aeromechanics, there’s an emphasis on careers throughout the course. Graduates work in aerospace design, aviation, manufacturing, energy and other specialisms, for employers such as Airbus, BP, Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, Rolls-Royce and the Ministry of Defence.
