Work with organisations like UK Sport, the English Football Association and various football clubs to understand management and business as applied in organisations in the sport industry. This course prepares you to take advantage of the many opportunities resulting from the continuing expansion of the global sport economy. **How you learn** All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. Alongside business and management concepts, you learn about the sport environment and the role of sport in society to achieve a range of objectives. You study modules ranging from the basics of financial management to the strategic positioning of products and services. You learn through * lectures * seminars * tutorials * project supervision * demonstration * workshops * field trips * external visits * placements * You may also be able to work or study abroad with the possibility of funding through the Erasmus+ programme (until 2023) or the Turing Scheme. **Applied learning** **Work placements** You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career. Past students have had placements with Reebok India, Badminton England, Aston Villa, Norwich City and Sheffield United football clubs, Sheffield Steelers, Leicester Tigers, England Rugby 2015, the English Institute of Sport, Champneys Springs Health Resort, Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sport Industries Research Centre, England and Wales Cricket Board. **Live projects** In the enterprise and innovation module you have the opportunity to present and develop your own business idea with the help of the University's Research and Innovation Office. You examine opportunities and markets, study entrepreneurship and innovation theory, as well as using applied research from your chosen sporting industry.

Standard Qualification Requirements

From two A levels or equivalent BTEC National qualifications. We accept General Studies. For example: CCC at A Level including relevant subject(s) MMM in BTEC Extended Diploma. A combination of qualifications, which may include AS levels, EPQ or general studies

An approved Access to HE Diploma in a sport or business related subject. Normally we require 15 of the level 3 credits to be graded at merit.
