Develop an expert knowledge of applied marketing concepts and gain practical experience in the workplace. You’ll gain the skills you need to apply marketing principles and techniques to a range of business problems. **How you learn:** All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. The approaches to learning and teaching on the course vary between modules. You’ll experience and engage with a variety of learning and teaching methods, enabling you to develop your knowledge, skills and expertise. You learn through: - lectures - seminars - problem solving exercises - case studies - self-managed studies - individual and group presentations **Applied learning - Work placements** You’ll have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This is typically 48 weeks long and gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career. Due to our strong relationships with regional, national and international employers, we can help you secure a great placement opportunity and support you while you’re there. Previous students have gained placements at companies such as IBM, Adidas, Marks & Spencer and Disney. **Live projects** In the second year of the course you’ll undertake a comprehensive set of activities focused on employability, and in particular, work experience to prepare you for a year in industry. These will be a mixture of live client briefs and short placements. You can also pursue your own business initiative, subject to approval. Your work-experience projects will increase your knowledge, skills and attributes to prepare you for graduate-level employment. **Networking opportunities** We’re one of the few universities in the UK to have a student Marketing Society linked to the Chartered Institute of Marketing. This is a student learning community that complements and enhances your academic studies, and allows you to link up with local professionals. You’ll automatically be a member of the society, which also runs regular events with local and national employers.

Standard Qualification Requirements

This must include at least 64 points from 2 A Levels or equivalent BTEC qualifications. For example: BBC at A Level DMM in BTEC Extended Diploma. A combination of qualifications, which may include AS levels, EPQ and general studies

• Access - an Access to HE Diploma with at least 45 credits at level 3 and 15 credits at level 2. At least 15 Level 3 credits must be at merit grade or above, from a QAA-recognised Access to HE course, or an equivalent Access to HE certificate.
