**Course summary:**

- Prepare for an exciting honours degree course — which includes a 18 month opportunity to study and work abroad.
On this course, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence you need to study International Tourism Management with Spanish. You’ll learn useful language, communication, digital and research skills, and familiarise yourself with Sheffield Hallam. Upon completing your foundation study, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running on a full honours degree.
**How you learn:**

You’ll take modules that test your independent study skills, as well as traditional lectures, seminars and group work. You’ll receive face-to-face feedback regularly.

**Applied learning - Degree preparation**
After the foundation year, you’ll be ready to start the full degree. International Tourism Management with Spanish is a dynamic, engaging and practical course that allows you excellent experience of both Spanish culture, and international tourism on the whole.
You’ll underpin valuable practical experience with rigorous academic study on campus, and ready yourself for careers in a range of exciting settings.
**Work placements**
As part of your full honours degree course, you will spend eleven months on a work placement in a relevant organisation based in Spain. Your placement is a great opportunity to gain valuable international tourism experience. It helps you develop your fluency in Spanish, and significantly enhances your employability.
You will the opportunity to apply for placements with international companies such as the main Spanish hotel chains Meli Hotels International, Hotelbeds and Hoteles NH (HQ Madrid). We also have contacts with boutique hotel chains, tour operators and other relevant firms from the tourism sector.

International applicants
Standard Qualification Requirements
This must include at least 32 points from one A level or equivalent BTEC National qualifications. For example:
CC at A Level
MPP in BTEC Extended Diploma.
A combination of qualifications, which may include AS levels, EPQ and general studies.
You should also have at least an AS-Level (Grade C) or A-Level E in Spanish for entry onto this course.
Access - an Access to HE Diploma with at least 45 credits at level 3 and 15 credits at level 2. At least 15 level 3 credits must be at merit grade or above, from a QAA-recognised Access to HE course, or an equivalent Access to HE certificate plus.
We will only admit students who are aged 18 or over at the point of enrolment
